As a St. Louis County County Commissioner, my work is rooted in a simple idea: government should be steady, responsive, and built to serve real lives. The needs of a parent worried about health care, a senior living in rural Minnesota who needs broadband, or a worker relying on safe infrastructure don’t stop at city limits or jurisdictional lines. Our solutions shouldn’t either.

I’m proud to have helped bridge divides across our region—north and south, rural and urban—by listening closely, leading collaboratively, and pushing for innovations that strengthen core services rather than distract from them.

I’ve spent my career at the intersection of mission-driven nonprofits, innovative businesses, and the public sector, because that’s where real progress happens. From public health and youth development to construction, small business ownership, and county leadership, I’ve seen firsthand how systems either work for people—or fail them when they’re disconnected.

At home, I’m raising young kids and learning daily what most parents already know: the stakes are personal. The systems we build today shape the world our children inherit tomorrow. That perspective informs everything I do—from policy decisions to business strategy to how I show up in my community.
